Limitations
When the target matches the source codec (for example MP3 → MP3, or AAC from M4A → M4A), the track is copied as is, without re-encoding. MP3 and M4A are encoded at 192 kbps, OGG (Opus) at 128 kbps, WAV and FLAC are lossless. The format list depends on your browser: M4A, OGG and FLAC appear when the browser can encode them (desktop Chrome and Edge support all of them). WMA and DRM-protected files cannot be read.

Where does my file go?
Nowhere. Conversion runs in your browser — the file is never sent to a server, so there are no queues and no size limits.
How do I convert M4A to MP3?
Drop the M4A into the box above, keep MP3 as the format and press Convert. The AAC track is re-encoded to MP3 at 192 kbps.
How do I turn WAV into MP3 and back?
Both directions work the same way: pick the file and the format. WAV → MP3 shrinks the audio roughly 10×; MP3 → WAV does not restore lost quality but gives you an uncompressed file for editing.
Is there quality loss?
When codecs match (MP3 → MP3, AAC → M4A, Opus → OGG, FLAC → FLAC) — no: the audio frames are carried over one to one, without recompression. Only the container changes (and for AAC the few milliseconds of encoder priming at the start are dropped). Re-encoding to MP3/M4A/OGG is transparent at the chosen bitrates; WAV and FLAC are lossless.
Why is M4A, OGG or FLAC missing from the list?
These formats are encoded by the browser itself, and support depends on the platform. Desktop Chrome and Edge offer all of them, Safari fewer. MP3 and WAV work everywhere.
