How to resize a photo

Limitations
Downscaling is always clean: the image is resampled in several passes, so it stays smooth with no jagged edges. Upscaling is allowed but adds no sharpness — pixels are simply stretched, the photo will not get crisper than the original. EXIF rotation of phone photos is applied automatically. iPhone HEIC is accepted via a dedicated decoder.
