Limitations
In Auto mode the audio is copied out of the video without re-encoding, so quality is unchanged and the format follows the source. MP3 and M4A compress the audio again, while WAV stores it uncompressed and produces a noticeably larger file. If the video has no audio track there is nothing to extract, and the tool will say so.

Where does my video get uploaded?
Nowhere. Audio extraction happens in your browser, on your device — the file is never sent to a server.
Is audio quality lost?
In auto mode — no: the audio frames are carried over from the video untouched, with no recompression, so the quality does not change. The file is not a byte-for-byte copy of the original, though: the container changes, and the few milliseconds of AAC encoder priming at the very start are not carried over.
Which format should I pick: MP3, M4A or WAV?
Auto — lossless and fastest. MP3 — for maximum compatibility with older players. WAV — uncompressed audio for further processing, but the file is much larger.
Which videos can I extract audio from?
Any files on your device: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV. The tool works with your files, not with links to other people's videos.
Is it free? Is there a size limit?

Why is the WAV file so large?
WAV stores audio uncompressed: one minute of 44.1 kHz stereo takes about 10 MB. It is meant for editing and processing; for listening pick MP3 or M4A.
